The Army’s Chief Information Officer awarded the contract to WILLCO TECH as a follow-on to the previous Army Training and Certification Tracking System (ATCTS) contract. The ATCTS contract provided cyber related certification tracking and credentials management to over one million Army users.
The award is the first of its kind relating to the new Department of Defense Directive 8140.01, which is in the final stages of review prior to execution which is expected to begin early next year. Under the new expanded contract, WILLCO TECH will update the existing capabilities and enhancements of its software to meet the new directive’s requirements. These new requirements include greater precision and granularity in tracking and measuring compliance by cyber experts as well as the general workforce within the Army to the new guidelines. According to WILLCO TECH CEO Mike Fischer,
“It’s unusual in any professional organization to see a technical solution run through concurrent contracts, especially over a decade. It’s unheard of in IT services, which is one of the main reasons we’re excited to be able to carry this mission forward for the next five-years. I think it speaks volumes about our firm’s personnel, expertise, and the level of commitment we have to perform at a high level for one of the largest and most sophisticated organizations in the world.”
WILLCO TECH has been servicing the cyber-related certification tracking and credentials management need for the Army for the past decade and is now engaged to help the Army transition and operate under this new paradigm over the next five-years.
The SaaS Factory CEO Marling Engle, WILLCO TECH’S Parent Company, elaborated,
“Our ATCTS capability is a good illustration of our Software as a Service (SaaS) expertise which helps organizations find solutions to information challenges that are effective and enduring.”
