JOB DESCRIPTION

WILLCO TECH, LLC is seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Federal Business Development Manager with excellent organizational and communication skills. The ideal candidate will be responsible for our business sales portfolio and is expected to work within a dynamic team environment and will be the lead for a fast paced and highly collaborative business development organization.

The position will develop and execute on a full range of business development activities from relationship building/maturation through initial capture management strategies and will lead the development and execution of account growth strategy, including winning new work, building relationships, and participating in industry events.

Founded in 2005, WILLCO TECH works to enhance national security and force readiness for military and commercial enterprises with a suite of software capabilities surrounding the human element of cybersecurity. Along this mission WILLCO TECH has come to deliver the largest cybersecurity workforce capability across the federal government and the Department of Defense (DoD)

Responsibilities and Job Duties:
  • Work alongside senior leaders to identify, refine, and execute our DOD and Federal growth strategy
  • Lead and grow a sales organization to achieve aggressive yearly sales targets and build opportunity pipelines for out years
  • Responsible for identifying potential opportunities, arranging meetings, initiating sales strategies, building proposals, and closing sales
  • Develop and execute effective business development/sales call plans for meetings with target clients, program managers, and industry partners
  • Will support outreach to agencies, including assistance with building new partnerships and communication strategies; developing methods to expand the customer base; and developing strategies to help ensure consistent, efficient, and effective solutions
  • Prepare, present, and mature opportunities using Internal Business Development and Capture Management Processes
  • Develop industry relationships and represent our company at industry events
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including other business development and capture team members, client executives, proposal managers, corporate infrastructure departments and program management teams to ensure effective, efficient, and integrated implementation of capture strategies
  • Assist in the development of successful pricing strategies, identifying risks, and interpreting solicitation requirements and developing win themes
  • Interface and manage teaming partners for existing relationship as well as developing potential future partners for upcoming opportunities
  • Meet or exceed established performance goals in support of overall corporate growth and success
Qualifications:
  • BA/BS degree is required
  • 8-10 years of experience in federal contracting/business development/capture management with a proven track record in our core areas of data analytics, IT, Program and Process Management. Experience working with or in a small federal contracting/consulting business organization is key.
  • Experience capturing Full and Open, ID/IQ, Multiple Award, and BPA contracts and task orders
  • Must have a mature and active network of contacts relevant to the market and the contractor industry that supports and operates within those markets
  • Proven track record in building accomplished teams, growing revenue, developing and selling solutions, and executing strategic campaigns
  • Experience building and maintaining high-level relationships and demonstrated ability to prospect and close new customers
  • Desire to succeed in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving business organization WILLCO is located in Akron, OH: this position can be performed from NE Ohio or the National Capital Region depending on track record, skills, and qualifications.
