Army Expands WillCo Contract to 1,000,000 Licenses

April 15, 2008, Kansas City, MO – The United States Army’s Army Headquarters Department of the Army Office of Information Assurance and Compliance (HQDA OIA&C) has contracted WillCo Technologies, Inc. to purchase an enterprise license for WillCo’s IASTAR® software and support.  The license will cover 1,000,000 end users for the Army Training and Certification Tracking System (ATCTS).

ATCTS is the Army’s information assurance (IA) compliance program for Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8570.  DoDD 8570 is the DoD response to the Federal Information Security Management Act of 2002 (FISMA).  FISMA was passed in the wake of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks to strengthen the federal government and affiliates information technology (IT).

ATCTS is the Army specific version of IASTAR®.   WillCo developed IASTAR® specifically for DoDD 8570 compliance.  According to DoDD 8570, the Army must identify, assess, align, and track their IA workforce and then report said data.

The expanded contract increases WillCo Technologies, Inc.’s business exposure.  WillCo is now the leading source for DoDD 8570 compliance software.

WillCo Technologies, Inc. is a Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) founded in 2005 to provide full service IT solutions and support.  WillCo’s core competencies are software development, IT consulting, IA services, systems integrations, and program management.  WillCo’s corporate headquarters are in Overland Park, KS and operations headquarters in Kansas City, MO.  The company has affiliates in California, the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia serving government IT customers.
